Laine Retreat in France
As some of you already know, Laine is not only a magazine – it is a community, our burning desire to gather with like-minded people.
For the past two years, we have been organizing retreats: the first one was held in Portugal, the second in Italy (a blog post coming next month). During those, we have made memories and friends for a lifetime, not just with our talented teachers (in the first retreat it was Joji Locatelli, in the second we had two, Nancy Marchant and Simone Hawlisch, who taught photography), but also with knitters, LYS owners and dyers.
This year we decided to organize two retreats. Well, actually one at first, but since it was sold out in a heartbeat, we did our very best to have another one. You may wonder where was the information of the first one. Well, we always give our previous guests a chance to book in advance. That is something we feel very passionate about – and are very thankful for: to be able to share these moments with people who have been there for us from the very beginning.
But we also love to make new friends – and that is why, we will have one more retreat for you all to attend. We teamed up with The Happy Hamlet, a gorgeous guest house in France, near the city of Toulouse. It is owned by a Finnish–French couple, and we couldn't be more excited to spend a few days with them, to combine the very best of Finland and France – you know, sauna and food, wine and hours of knitting.
